How to Check if a Server Runs cPanel & WHM or WP Squared

Steps

  1. Open the server terminal.

  2. Run this command:

    readlink /usr/local/cpanel/server.type

  3. Check the output:

    • cpanel → Server is running cPanel & WHM

    • wp2 → Server is running WP Squared

No extra tools are needed; this works on any server with cPanel installed.
